Greg Weiss




is a PhD student in poetry at the University of Southern Mississippi. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Columbia Review, The South Carolina Review, The Oklahoma Review, The Margie Review, The Southern Poetry Anthology: Mississippi, and others. He is the owner of a very handsome cat named El Bob “Precious” Dylan.

Because is for my girlfriend Nicole, who was suffering at the time from an unbelievably severe case of poison oak/ivy/sumac. (We have all three kinds in Mississippi.) When I showed it to her, she said, "You wrote about my rash?"

Fourth-Favorite Daughter is based on an old friend of mine; I wanted to let her know I was on her side.
